Camp Creek Antique Machinery and Threshing Association

 

A neighborhood threshing bee has become one of the county’s largest events and one of the biggest threshing shows in Nebraska. That first time threshing bee is now packed with history and fun-filled activities for all ages.

 

The Camp Creek Antique Machinery and Threshing Association’s 75-acre showgrounds is located east of Waverly. Buildings include a one-room schoolhouse, country church, general store, drug store, summer kitchen, craft barn, depot, horse barn, saddle shop, gas station, post office, blacksmith shop, print shop, food pavilion, and ice cream shop. A jail was added in 2020. New in 2023 a working corn crib and a HP Steam Driven air compressor with a live demonstrations during the July show.

 

Show attractions include a steam crane, gas engines, steam engines, antique tractors, Percheron horse, corn shelling, baker fan, saw mill, blacksmiths, power house, butter making, petting farm, scale model steam locomotives, children’s playground, antique vehicles, outdoor flea market, plowing and field demonstrations, vintage crafts, and plenty of threshing and baling demonstrations.

 

The organization currently has over 250 members. Meetings are held monthly at 7:30  pm at the VFW Hall in Waverly (except for September & December) Dues are $20 for individual and $30 for family.

The Camp Creek Threshers are a non-profit volunteer organization whose purpose is to preserve Nebraska’s agricultural history. So join us in a fun filled environment, activities, learning experience.
